Jack Harrison: Unpacking An Impressive Debut Premier League Season

Patrick Bamford and Raphinha have understandably claimed many of the plaudits and headlines for Leeds United this season, but Jack Harrison whose performances have largely gone under the radar, has more than played his part in Leeds’s impressive return to the top flight. We take a deeper look at his season so far and how far he has come over his nearly three seasons at Leeds under Marcelo Bielsa.

It is easy to forget that Harrison is not a fully-fledged Leeds player still, deep into his third season on loan from Manchester City, it feels that this coming summer will finally be the time for his permanent transfer, and his form this season has certainly given justification for this commitment if ever it was needed.

During his time at Elland Road, Harrison has divided fans at times, being simultaneously capable of moments of outstanding quality as well as periods of anonymity and frustrating end product. His adjustment to Premier League football has been notable, however, and his form has got increasingly hard to ignore, as part of a group of players that are continually pushing the boundaries of what many believe they are capable of.
